Show at Wesley College
Thanks to everyone who participated and helped at the signature-level show atWesley College in Dover. A special thanks to DWS Regional Director, Susan Johnston, who arranged the show and opening reception. It is wonderful to see such great participation, and everyone appreciated the demonstrations and discussions by Dorothy Harrison-Braun, E. Jean Lanyon, Elizabeth Forsythe, and Isabel Pizzolato.
E. Jean Lanyon donated a painting of Moore’s pond in Dover by Jeannette Slocum Edwards. Edwards an active Delaware artist and second poet laureate of Delaware in the 1950’s, wanted the painting to be part of Wesley’s collection. Edwards’ work was part of the traveling exhibiton, Delaware Women Artists 1850-1950. The recently donated painting has come home and will be added to Wesley’s collection.
Stop by Wesley and take a look at the wonderful DWS exhibition which will remain in the Parker Library through April 25.
