Plein Air and Clothesline Event October 6 and 7

DWS members are invited to Dover to enjoy garden and cityscape painting. Paint and then hang your work in an old-fashioned clothesline
display on area porches.  The display and sales is in conjunction with the Downtown Dover Partnership First Friday Celebrations.   The Canon House will be available to artists for refreshments, restrooms, and indoor preparation.
Free to members.  Not a competition.  Just fun! Come and paint with your peers.  Watch for more information on this event on our website and newsletters.

Date Change for Signature-Level Jury

The signature-level jurying will be on the third Saturdays in October 2011 and  May 2012.  First round is October 15th. The changes are to make it easier for artists to submit their work during a time when there are fewer traffic and scheduling problems.

For more information and an application, contact Elizabeth Collard at (302) 645-4821 or fleurdeslisstudio@comcast.net.

Call for Entries

Are you a rising star?  You could be.  Downtown Dover Partnership invites you to participate in their “star-studded” project.  Artists paint or decorate metal stars that will be displayed in storefront windows and public spaces in historic downtown Dover. Artists will have an opportunity to compete for awards and include their creations in an auction of “stars” on Friday, January 6, 2012

If you are interested, you may register at the Downtown Dover Partnership Office, 101 W. Lockerman Street, or at the Biggs Museum. Entrance fee is $35, including a star. Visit downtowndoverparnership.com or call DPPO at (302) 678-2940.
